Dale Chihuly Glass

Hot Glass Glassblowing is a glass forming technique that involves inflating molten glass into a bubble or parison, with the aid of a blow tube, and furnace. Lampworking is done with a torch that is used primarily to melt the glass.

Glass blowers use powdered colour or larger pieces of coloured glass called Frit.

Materials: Sharpie Marker, Watercolour When everyone is finished we will do a “blind vote” to find out what FORM and colour scheme is the most liked! **Top 4 most voted will be discussed on their Aesthetics and use of the Elements of Art As a class we will put to vote and decide what form and colour scheme we will use for our class chandelier!

Class Project Dale Chihuly Chandeliers * Every student must complete a minimum of 4 “pieces” * Each piece has to be a minimum of 2 plastic items * * Every student must take part in the process of building the form * You will be graded on how well you work as a team as well as how unique your individual forms are!
