KTH ROYAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Erasmus+ Mobility for individuals

Who can apply? Higher Education Institutes (HEI) with an Erasmus+ Charter What? Funding for mobility between Programme countries (within Europe) and Partner countries (non European) Why? So that HEI staff and students in Europe and other parts of the world can work, study and strengthen their competences Application deadline: 4 mars 2015

Eligible Countries Programme countries All 28 member countries within EU, and also Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Turky and Macedonia (Programme countries) can apply for funding through their National Agency. Partner countries Countries that can participate as so called Partner countries in non European cooperations will be found in a separate ”Eligible countries for International Credit Mobility” at UHRs web site. The budget is divided in different categories for different regions.

Budgets & Grants The African countries which can participate in 2015 are South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Marocko och Tunisia.

Restrictions for mobility  ENI Eastern Partnership & ENI South - Mediterranean 90 % of the budget for all levels of incoming mobility.  ENI Russian Federation - No restrictions for mobility  IPA Western Balkans – no restrictions  DCI Asia, DCI Central Asia, DCI Latin America & DCI South Africa - Swedish Council has made it possible for outgoing mobility on all levels  PI Canada, USA & PI Industrialised Asia Australia & New Zeeland Quotas can be 100 % staff or students in and out.

Application One application per HEI UHR will not grant any applications for less than 24 months UHR recommends us to use already well established partners Limited budget and a limited number of mobilities means that KTH is in for a great competition. UHR will grant applications with high quality from a small number of universities.

Award criteria All applications will be assessed, for each mobility project with a Partner Country, on the following criteria: Relevance of the strategy (maximum 30 points) Quality of the cooperation arrangements (maximum 30 points) Quality of the activity design and implementation (maximum 20 points) Impact and dissemination (maximum 20 points)

KTH application KTH will apply centrally for this action and for target already existing projects and prioritized regions to strengthen cooperation and mobility on all levels. KTH will be responsible for both incoming and outgoing mobility (including scholarship payment). In case of approved application, a call for applying for mobility will be set up.

Staff mobility teaching periods: HEI teaching staff or staff from enterprises teach at a partner HEI abroad. Staff mobility for teaching can be in any subject area/academic discipline. training periods: supports the professional development of HEI teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organisation abroad. A period abroad can combine teaching and training activities

Student Mobility a study period abroad A study period abroad is a period dedicated to studies or a traineeship. The study period abroad must be part of the student's study programme to complete a degree at a short cycle, first cycle (Bachelor or equivalent), second cycle (Master or equivalent) and third or doctoral cycle.
