Ford Cricket League 2004 Season Ford Cricket League (FCL) is a new organization that is being formed with the support of senior management to promote the game of Cricket at Ford. This organization, working closely with FAIA and MichCA, will assume responsibility for conducting the annual Ford Cricket League and other Cricket related activities at Ford. FCL will be led by a committee with experience in fostering the growth of local Cricket organizations like MichCA and Detroit Cricket League. Your enthusiastic support is critical to the success of this organization. As captains of teams that participated in the Ford Cricket League last year, you are here to be a part of the several committees that will be formed today and ensuring the Ford Cricket League is conducted in a professional manner thus maintaining the best traditions of the game.

Mission & Vision Mission –Develop and promote the game of Cricket at Ford Vision –Generate enthusiasm and cultivate interest in cricket among Ford and agency employees. –Establish a structured framework with clearly defined rules for conducting cricket tournaments. –Encourage the spirit of the game and fair play. –Associate closely with MichCA for mutual growth.
FCL Constitution Roles & Responsibilities Governing Body (GB) The GB will consist of the President, Chief of Operations, Treasurer and the Disciplinary Committee Formation of working committees Oversight of the league operations President Deploy leagues vision to club members Interface with captains, Chief of Operations, Treasurer, coaches and key personnel to promote and share the club vision and steps to ensure set goals are met Action plan to work towards the goals Plan and work with Chief of Operations to plan events for the calendar year and cascade schedule to members at the beginning of the season Interface with Treasurer to understand financial position Support and procure adequate funds to meet Operations Manager/treasurer's projection Communicate with PR director and establish clear goals and provide adequate planning for implementation to procure funds Publish accomplishments and achievements to promote the League Chief Of Operations Implement actions to realize the vision of the league Primarily responsible for day-to-day running of the league
FCL Constitution Roles & Responsibilities ….continuedTreasurer Responsible for procuring payments prior to season commencement Responsible for advising Operations Manager on funding status all along the season Provide budget projections for next calendar year by the first of every calendar year Make payments to players who incur expenses on club's behalf Provide funding to managers for every game Consult with Operations Manager to ensure taxes are filed on behalf of the club (if applicable) Interface with the president for sponsorship to plan for unforeseen expenses Interface with PR director to envision expenses for calendar year prior to commencement of the season Team Captain Ensure the team adheres to code of conduct as outlined in FCL rules Ensure at least 3 team members are certified MichCA umpires Responsible for paying the dues owed by the team Must serve on at least one working-level committee Must provide team scorecard to the statistician within 3 days of match completion date Must not behave in conduct detrimental to league's reputation and growth
Team Registration / Fee Structure Registration Process Team registrations to be submitted with necessary forms and initial roster (at least 11 players) to Treasurer by April 30 th, 2004 – NO EXCEPTIONS Player registration with fees ($30 per player) to be completed and submitted by captains to Treasurer by May 15 th, 2004 Every player will receive an FCL T-Shirt, a cap bearing FCL logo and one (1) year subscription of India Abroad Newspaper. In addition, every team will receive playing T-Balls for the duration of regular season Logistics committee will furnish all necessary forms per FCL guidelines by April 15 th, 2004

Committees Roles & Responsibilities Disciplinary Committee Review all complaints from Umpires and Captains of the involved teams and implement resolution within 48 hrs from the time a complaint is lodged Provide an objective decision and honor the rules of the game as detailed in the FCL rules-book Logistics Ensure matches are played on scheduled grounds per standards set by the Grounds committee Make sure the players and umpires are insured on the grounds where matches are conducted Report any unscheduled fees promptly to the treasurer Information Update records from all matches and for all teams and keep tally of best bowler, batsman, fielder and notify all captains Forward information to be loaded into FCL website
