How To: Analyze a Political Cartoon We will use PAWS to help us think about political cartoons. P=People in the cartoon- who are they? A=Actions-what is happening in the cartoon? W=Words- what is the meaning of any words? S= Symbols- what do they mean? Then, PoV- Point of View-what is the cartoonist’s view on the issue? Do you agree? Let’s Practice!
