EADP Information about the Associations actions on PSI re-use Since 1st July what actions has the Association taken with respect to the re-use of PSI? participation in Espinet meetings and in the PSI working Group meetings Has the Association held any meetings of its members dedicated to the re-use of PSI? –A session during the EADP Annual Congress in Sept 2005 focusing on Databases and Access to PSI –Several internal meetings of EADP members involved in EU Affairs tackled the PSI issue Has the Association lobbied government Ministries on PSI Re-use? Our national members do so, particularly in the UK and Austria. Has the Association lobbied politicians on PSI re-use? Yes during the adoption of the 2003 EU directive, we lobbied MEPs and Commission civil servants. If YES to the Association has lobbied - what has the Association lobbied on or about? to grant B-To-B directory publishers better access to raw data ( trade, legal..) to be re-used in directories. In the view of the Association has the lobbying been successful? yes If YES outline the success. EADP President is now involved with the Commission Expert Group on PSI.
