Objective SWBAT tour the ruins of the Inca Empire!

Objective SWBAT locate the Inca Empire on a map. SWBAT explain how the geography of the Inca Empire affected its economy.

On page 22 of your note packet…

Living in the mountains led to many problems… …but fortunately the Incas had smart solutions!

PROBLEM The steep slopes of the Andes Mountains made it difficult to grow crops. SOLUTION The Incas cut terraces into the slopes of the Andes Mountains.
