Opportunity to remodel this forum as an Active Travel Forum, with Living Streets? Could have an increased role in steering ATAP and feeding into the proposed Transport Forum.

18 Staff resources to deliver ATAP ‘Cycling Officer’ – in post Sustrans officer seconded for 5 years, another 3 years to run. Sustrans to employ a 3 year Family Network signage officer – part-funded by CEC New ‘Walking Officer’ 18 month post - funded by CEC and Paths for All CEC cycle staff resources being reviewed – report to September TIE Committee

20 Spokes and CTC feedback Strong support for ATAP, for its strategic approach, for 5% and the annual 1% increase Increased cycle-specific staffing needed to address delays –more important in context of increased budget. Keen to see progress on upgrading existing facilities on main roads Segregated cycleways – want serious consideration and would like to see a pilot project Can Council consult on, then implement, cycle and pedestrian friendly city centre?
