Where do black swans live? They are usually found in Australia and Tasmania. Populations in New Zealand have been introduced.

What do black swans eat? As herbivores, these swans eat mainly aquatic vegetation. My animal is a herbivore, so it eats plants and no meat.

What do black swans look like? They have black feathers, white wing tips, and a red bill. They have a white band around the bill and red eyes. They are 4.9 feet tall

What are the black swan’s predators? They are threatened by foxes, mink, and botulism.

What is a black swan’s life span? Black swans live up to 40 years.

How do black swans communicate? Black swans honk to each other in order to communicate. They use calls to communicate. They make a musical call like a trumpet sound as well as a range of softer crooning notes. They will whistle especially when they are disturbed while they are breeding or nesting.

All about baby black swans. The female black swan lays 4 to 6 eggs. All swan babies including black swans are called cygnets. Usually it takes 42 days(6 weeks) for black swan eggs to hatch.

More crazy black swan facts Black swans mate by facing each other, raising their wings, and calling loudly. Black swans are not shy. Black swans can fly 3.3 feet high. Black swans nest in Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand since they live there.

More crazy black swan facts You can see their feet when they are swimming.
