Applications 7 Vet Schools in the UK: Bristol, Cambridge, Nottingham, Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh Each candidate can apply to 4 vet schools + one other course UCAS deadline 15th October BMAT deadline end September (relevant for London and Cambridge only)

Entry Requirements Generally AAA – AAB to include Chemistry and Biology for A-level candidates Work experience (practice and farm-based, kennels, catteries, zoos, etc) BTEC in Animal Science or Management generally not accepted except in Liverpool Access qualifications dealt with on an individual basis Some Vet schools (e.g. Bristol, Nottingham, London) have a Pre-Vet Year Graduate entry is also possible – but expensive!

Bristol Vet Admissions 1350 applicants – these are assessed and strong candidates are invited to interview. 550 interviewed – a 20 minute interview to assess the candidate’s understanding of the profession and their commitment to it. 177 offers made for 105 places.

Veterinary related BSc degrees Bristol – Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science BSc and a BSc in Bioveterinary Sciences is underdevelopment. London – Bioveterinary Sciences Liverpool – Bioveterinary Sciences Nottingham – Animal Science Glasgow – Veterinary Biosciences
