Courses Offered in the Spring:  Historical Geology and Paleontology  Introduction to Anthropology  Living in the Cloud and What My Parents Didn’t Tell Me About the 60s  Mythbusters 101: Science Vs. Frauds, Lies, Hoaxes, and Mistakes  Real Global Solutions for 21 st Century Problems  Sports Management, Media, and Marketing  Sustainability: Action for Change  21 st Century Literacy: My Digital Life

Why Consider OC 21 Courses :  Courses not available at PVHS  Preparation for college  Field experience  Interaction with students from other school districts  Earn.5 elective credit

 Any highly motivated student  An independent worker  Someone who can manage their time well (and has the time outside of the school hours to devote to the course)  Someone who is looking for a unique opportunity

 If you are interested, you need to write a one page double space essay on “Why you would like to take an OC 21 course”.  Essay must be turned in to the guidance office by Friday, January 10 th at 2:00.  If there are more than five students that are interested, only five will be chosen from a lottery system.

Program Requirements  Class begins on February 5, 2014  Mandatory orientation at the BOCES campus from 8-12  Symposium at the end of May  Routine online participation
