Report Card Communication Updates

1. Access shared staff drive 2. Open _ Grade_Level folder 3. Open Elementary TAC folder Shared Folder

Clarifications Reading levels should be marked for each quarter. Due to so many individual variances a reading level explanation will not be added to the grade card. These questions are best explained by the classroom teacher to the parent.

English Language Learners English Language Learners If a child receives regular accommodations in the classroom in order to access the curriculum the EL box is to be checked. ◦For ELL students – the comment that prints on the report card will state “This student is an English Learner. The student’s work was accommodated in the classroom to meet his/her level of English Proficiency.”

Printing Instructions to see Teacher View in TAC

Standards Not Assessed An “X” will be used, leaving it blank could cause an area to be inadvertently skipped

Comments If you go through Chrome you can see the whole comment section as you type.

Can the report card window open for a longer time frame?

Clarity With the changes that took place on some grade level report cards from quarter 1 to quarter 2, can all quarters be updated to reflect the current and consistent symbols?

Science and Social Studies In the lower grades there was some confusion on Y and N for science and social studies. Starting 3 rd quarter unit names will be removed from the report card in grades K, 1, and 2.

Specials Areas Issues to be addressed… PE – number score based on 10 point scale C – Consistently, N – Needs Improvement (add to legend)

Thank you!
