Poutine is a common food that traces back to France.

Cuisine Quebec is most famous for its tourtières (meat pies), pea soup baked beans, cretons, ham dishes, maple desserts such as Pouding chômeur and "tire Ste- Catherine" (St. Catherine's taffy). Spruce beer is a traditional beverage. Many dishes like bûche de Noël (Yule log)

Les Pets de Nonnes  The original French pets de nonnes were an airy choux fritter, but were since then changed into a cinnamon roll-like pastry.  The name “pets de nonnes” is a controversial name because the literal translation is “nun’s farts.”

Tarte au Sucre and other Quebec food with French and Irish influence.  The people of quebec get the most influence from france, but there is also irish influence. Tarte au Sucre Pea soup shows the Irish influence of Quebec. Creton is a food that is very common in Quebec. Poor man’s pudding is a traditional dessert.
