INSPECT: Shell cracks, cuts, signs of impact Suspension fastened securely ripped, torn, or worn No visual defects WHAT’S THE DATE?? If the hardhat is 5 years or older, it should be replaced Suspension should be replaced each year If any defects are found during inspection, regardless of time, the equipment should be replaced.

WILL ANY GLASSES WORK?? NO! Safety glasses must meet or exceed ANSI Z87 requirements. INSPECTION: Scratches, cracks, other obstructions. Temple arms in solid shape, Nose and bridge in good shape Why should I??

WHEN DO I NEED IT?  Anytime you think a noise is too loud!  In an area that is 85 decibels or louder WHY DO I NEED IT??  Damage to your ears cannot be fixed. It cannot be reversed or undone.  Protect what you have because it will only get worse! HOW DO I USE IT???

1.Pull upward on the ear 2.Roll plug between fingers 3.Quickly insert in canal 4.Let it expand 5.Adjust as needed

WHAT CLASSIFICATION IS YOUR VEST?? All of our vests at S&W are class II or Class III. These provide the highest visibility for maximum protection. WHY WEAR A SAFETY VEST? A safety vest provides high visibility to protect you from surrounding conditions. Drivers on a highway or busy road, operators of equipment on jobsites, or anyone else will be able to see you much quicker if you are highly visible. Also, beginning January 1, 2009, Safety Vests will be part of all S&W employee uniforms. This is not an attempt to inconvenience anyone, this is an attempt to make sure all S&W employees are as safe in the field as they possibly can be. HOW SHOULD I INSPECT MY VEST??

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY TYPES? WHAT TYPE IS AVAILABLE TO ME? HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO USE WHICH ONES? CAN I BRING MY OWN? WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR WHEN INSPECTING THEM?

PPE is the last line of defense between you and an injury. It is important to make sure your PPE is in proper working order before you use it.
