OISC investigation begins with a drift complaint

Herbicide left in minibulk past 30 days

OISC concerned about storage and disposal practices

No RUP records Minibulk >30 days; not contained Unrinsed containers Soil contamination from spills not cleaned up No label, partially filled with unknown product Containers not disposed of according to label instructions

Clean Sweep Program Sponsored by OISC Leftover pesticides, including pesticides no longer on the market. No fertilizer, petroleum products, etc. No charge up to 250 lb. > 250 lb. $2/lb. 4 sites annually, typically August- September Contact OISC to participate, 765/

Points to remember: Keep RUP records for 2 years. Read and follow wind restrictions on the label. General Drift Guideline 3-5 mph directional wind. Follow minibulk (>55 gal.) regulations  >30 days, secondary containment needed. Triple rinse containers and apply rinsate at label rates or as part of next load. Thoroughly empty bags and dispose in a landfill–don’t burn bags or plastic. Take leftover pesticides to a Clean Sweep Day sponsored by OISC.
