Demonstration of Mastercam? Verify Lesson 12

Geometry Creation Tasks 1 - 11 Create the 3D box to represent the material Create the profile for the sweep on top of material Create right hand section geometry for sweep Create left hand section geometry for sweep Create center section geometry for sweep Create the swept surface

Geometry Creation Dynamic Planes For the center section geometry you will use Dynamic Planes Dynamic Planes are an extremely useful function that allows easy visual manipulation of planes. Origins can be created by snapping to entity features. Coordinate system orientation can easily be changed by grabbing an axes and rotating it with the mouse. 8

Geometry Creation - Swept Surface You create a Swept Surface by sweeping curves along a path. You define the surface with two types of curves: Across curves perform the sweep, defining the surface's cross-sections. Along curves define the sweep's path or trajectory 9

Geometry Creation Tasks 1 - 11 Create flat boundary surface at ends of sweep Create fillet surfaces 10

Geometry Creation Flat Boundary & Fillet Surfaces Flat boundary surfaces are trimmed NURBS surfaces created within a boundary defined by a closed, flat chain With fillet surfaces you can create one or more fillet surfaces, each of which is tangent to two surfaces. 11
