How do we get Value Add? What is Roster Verification? Roster verification is a process to accurately capture the instructional linkage between teachers and students. For each course / subject taught, teachers will confirm: ◦the students enrolled, ◦the months of instruction, and ◦their instructional responsibility for each student. Why Do We Link? Accurate class rosters and percent of instructional attribution are essential to ensure teachers and their students are appropriately linked in the SAS ® EVAAS ® value-added analysis for teacher-level reports.

Who Participates in Roster Verification*? All licensed/certified teachers planning and/or providing instruction for students in: ◦Grades 4-8 Math and English Language Arts ◦Grades 5 & 8 Science ◦Grade 6 Social Studies ◦High School Credit Coursework: ◦English I ◦Algebra I / Integrated Math I ◦Physical Science ◦Grades & subjects included in approved vendor value-added services provided by Battelle for Kids *Spring 2015 Rollout Plan
