Background Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission AP, Jim Cole Original Toolkit developed in 2004 by New Hampshire Celebrates Wellness Three main focus areas: o Roles & Responsibilities: Establishing the LWC Community Coalition o Presenting the Vision: Engaging Community Members & Stakeholders o Looking at the Big Picture: Community Assessment & Action Planning Currently stored on the UNH Cooperative Extension website

2012 Update Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission AP, Jim Cole 2011 – HNHfoundation grant received to update the Toolkit Goals: Promote the Toolkit as an educational and community planning resource to inform and educate communities, planning-related professionals, and policy makers about how they can retrofit the built environment Incorporate livable, walkable community principles into community, state and regional planning programs, policies and statutes
