LOVING LIKE JESUS LOVES ME 40 DAYS OF LOVE – PART 2 Tom Collins

I.I MUST ____________OTHERS LIKE JESUS __________ ME. JOHN 6:37: “the Father gives me my people. Every one of them will come to me, and I will ALWAYS accept them.” MARK 10:2-6: “Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?’ “What did Moses command you?” He replied.

They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.” “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,’ Jesus replied. ‘But at the beginning of creation God made them MALE AND FEMALE.” This week I will show ACCEPTANCE to_____________(Someone who irritates you or is hard to love).

II.I MUST___________ OTHERS LIKE JESUS _____________ME. JOHN 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” Two things make something valuable: 1. WHO MADE IT. 2. WHAT SOMEBODY WILL PAY FOR IT. I. PETER 1:19: “He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.”

ISAIAH 49:15-16: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. See, I have ENGRAVED you on the palms of my hands!” I PETER 2:17: “Treat everyone you meet with dignity.” MARK 10:21: “Jesus looked at him and loved him.” This week I will affirm the VALUE of ________________________.

III. I MUST ____________OTHERS LIKE JESUS____________________ME. ISAIAH 43:25: “I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am. I will not hold your sins against you.” EPHESIANS 1:4: “Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

ROMANS 8:1: “There is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This week I will offer FORGIVENESS to___________(Someone who has hurt you or is carrying a load of guilt or shame.)

IV. I MUST____________IN OTHERS LIKE JESUS________IN ME. I CORINTHIANS 13:7: “If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.” MARK 9:23: “Jesus said: Everything is possible for him who believes.”

MATTHEW 17:20: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” JOHN 14:12: “The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

ROMANS 1:12: “I want US TO HELP EACH OTHER WITH THE FAITH WE HAVE. Your faith will help me and my faith will help you.” This week I will demonstrate TRUST in __________ (someone you know has potential in growth.)

CONCLUSION: EPHESIANS 3:18-20: “I ask Him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live a full life, full in the fullness of God.”
