Carbon footprint Eco day 2013

What is a carbon footprint? The term “carbon footprint” refers to the amount of carbon (C02) we emit individually in a year. C02 is produced from many sources and is the main gas responsible for Global warming and the changes in our climate.

Average Per Year Teenagers: 13.4 tonnes Adults : 17.5 tonnes

Ways to reduce your carbon footprint: SIMPLE WAYS: Have a shower not a bath. Carpool or take the bus to school, or simply get dropped off further away from the school if you cant WALK the full way. Cycle to school. Never let the water run

Task: An iPad will be provided to each table and a Co2 calculator will be open on each one. Follow the steps and answer the questions filling in your answer, if you don’t know, guess, be honest to get a truthful average of your C.F as nobody is going to see. Thank you
