 Today we are going to discuss issues that deal with cyber safety.  What is Cyber Safety?  Cyber Safety refers to the things you do online and with your cell phone or computer/tablet.  More specifically, this includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Text Messages.

 We are going to be discussing this topic further, but first we are going to begin by watching two short videos dealing with issues two issues related to Cyber Safety  1) Online Privacy  2) Digital Footprint  Before we start the videos, ask yourself: Do you like to post pictures or videos about yourself? Do you like to take pictures or videos with your phone and send them to your friends?

 What is a digital footprint?  What ways could you put yourself at risk to give away private information online?  What are the dangers of posting pictures or videos of yourself, friends, or family online?  How would you feel if your private information or pictures ended up somewhere you didn’t intend?  Do you know and trust every single person that you’re friends with online?  What can you do to protect yourself?  If you think someone has gotten a hold of private information what should you do?  Do you really have a private life online?
