NAPA BRAKES SEVERE DUTY FRICTION and ROTORS Specifically Design for Police Duty

Severe Duty Friction and Rotors NAPA brake products are select based on an engineering approach to sourcing the best solution world-wide. Designed to four (4) key police requirements FMVSS safety High speed and pursuit braking Wear capabilities Noise abatement

Rotor - Design Best in Class Product Design Unique metallurgy (high chromium) & high Carbon content Specifically designed for high heat / high energy applications – racing pedigree Patented concentric groove design Allows for initial effectiveness (performs well out of box) Many police garages do not properly perform brake bed-in procedures, so the concentric groove aids in bedding

Friction- Design Best in Class Friction Design Balance High Speed Braking Stable braking at the high heats of pursuit braking Long Life Maximum service life for shrinking budgets No Noise Sirens should be only sound that alerts police approach

Product Availability Rotor & Friction Friction Only Packaged together as axle set for total repair and easy storage Unique stackable and water resistant package Friction Only Available when rotor replacement is not required. Coverage for popular patrol & service vehicles Crown Vic, Impala, Charger, Tahoe Vacuum label

Why Use NAPA Severe Duty? Exceeds OE performance Test proven – LA Sheriff & Mich. State Best in Class Product Rotors – Unique metallurgy for high heat and long life Friction – Pursuit performance with no noise Supplied by NAPA

NAPA BRAKES SEVERE DUTY FRICTION and ROTORS Specifically Design for Police Duty Test Results

Severe Duty Friction- Rotor Tests Results of Rayloc - NAPA’s Test Protocol The products tested were rated from 1-4 with 4 being the best. The criteria was mu stability, which is most easily explained as how the pedal force changes from stop to stop. The smaller the change, the more consistent the product, which allows the driver to apply the same force every time. In total, 95 stops are reviewed. NAPA ranked first in 3 of the 5 categories and 2nd in the other 2. The panic and hot pursuit sections are the most crucial to law enforcement where NAPA scored 1 & 2 respectively.

Severe Duty Friction and Rotors Four major criteria – independently tested using established and accepted industry protocols SAE J2784 FMVSS Performance Tests the brake’s ability to perform safely under federal safety guidelines SAE J2707 Wear data Measures the rotor & pad wear capabilities SAE J2521 Noise data Measures the brake’s comparative noise index Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Pursuit High speed pursuit braking Measures brake’s ability to handle high energy braking and the rotor’s ability to abate high heat

Severe Duty Pad-Rotor Tests The products tested were rated from 1-4 with 4 being the best. The criteria was mu stability, which is most easily explained as how the pedal force changes from stop to stop. The smaller the change, the more consistent the product, which allows the driver to apply the same force every time. In total, 95 stops are reviewed.
