“Financial Transaction that occur over and electronic network” Or “e commerce is enabling or achieving your business objectives by using information technology to enhance or transform your business processes.

 Originally, electronic commerce was identified as the facilitation of commercial transactions electronically, using technology such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). These were both introduced in the late 1970s, allowing businesses to send commercial documents like purchase orders or invoices electronically. The growth and acceptance of credit cards, automated teller machines (ATM) and telephone banking in the 1980s were also forms of electronic commerce. One of the first and most prominent e-commerce players, Iconic eBay has left a huge footprint on the way we buy and sell.

 One of the step in development of e-commerce was electronic data interchange, originally created to eliminate paper work and increase time in business transaction.  With the growth of the Internet it is be coming a more common method of doing business.

Ecommerce generates income in many ways some of the common ones are:  At many sites you can purchase product or services  Some online business sell digital products.  Web Advertisements are very common to generate income.  Online storage services to provide data storage to computer users

E-retailing one of the area mostly targeted by E-commerce Actually, E-tailing is the abbreviation of Electronic retailing, which refers to the process of selling retail goods through internet. E-tailing is synonymous with business-to-consumer transaction.E-tailing

E-tailing has resulted in the development of e-tailware - software tools for creating online catalogs and managing the business connected with doing e-tailing.
