AESTHETICS There are three distinct styles in kitchen design and your preference will determine what design rules you apply. CONTEMPORARY HYBRID CLASSIC
CONTEMPORARY KITCHENS Horizontal emphasis Blend with structure Key Principles Eliminate wall cabinets
HYBRID KITCHENS Key Principles Solid wood / painted doors This style is particularly suited to older houses that want a fresh / modern Kitchen but are afraid a full-on contemporary design would look wrong. No cornice, pelmet or pillars Usually mix of two colours
