The Blending Wizard is designed and intended to be used only by certified Nitrox gas blenders for the sole purpose of blending Air/Oxygen mixtures. The Blending Wizard feature is only available in Specific Editions of ANALYST. This is the opening ANALYST Window. The File Button allows creating, viewing, deleting files and checking for Analyst updates. Statistics Button shows Dive Totals, Dive Beginning, Dive Ending, Dive Config, and other Dive Statistics. Profiles Button shows many extensive Profile Graphs. The Owner button allows the storage and retrieval of the Dive computer Owners Information, which the Dealer has stored in the Dive Computer Tissue Loading Button shows Dive Beginning, Dive ending, and Current Tissue Loading Bar Graphs. The Tissue Loading feature is only available in specific Editions of ANALYST. Configure Button allows the diver to Configure the Dive Computer specifically to their style and Diving requirements. Parametric Cloning Button Transfers Parameters from one Cochran Dive Computer another. This button appears on Several Toolbars. Parametric Cloning will be covered in a separate Tutorial. The Parametric Cloning feature is only available in specific Editions of ANALYST. Dive Planning and Simulation Wizard feature is only available in specific Editions of ANALYST. Logbook Button invokes the DAN Compatible Divers Logbook Database. Also allows the storage and retrieval of the Dive computer users Personal, Medical and PreDive information. On-line, context-sensitive Help! Click on the ‘?’, then click on the object or item for which help is needed. Click left mouse button to proceed.

Click on the File Button.

Acquire dive computer data to a new or existing file View an existing dive computer fileDelete an existing dive computer file Analyst can check via the internet to see if there are any program updates. On-line, context-sensitive Help! Click on the ‘?’, then click on the object or item for which help is needed. Click on the Acquire Button.

Attach the dive computer to the Analyst interface cable as shown. Click on OK.

Click on Save. Visual representation of the type of unit being viewed/acquired. The Analyst will prepare to save the computer file under a name based on the unit serial number. The file’s name and/or location may be changed at this time.

The progress bar will show that the Analyst is acquiring the dive computer information. This may take longer if many dives have been made since last acquiring the dive computer. Click left mouse button to proceed.

After Acquiring the information, the main window will be shown. Clicking on one of the buttons will show the specified data. Click left mouse button to proceed.

Logbook Button invokes the DAN Compatible Divers Logbook Database. Also allows the storage and retrieval of the Dive computer User’s Personal, Medical and PreDive information. Click on Logbook Button.

Data In Blue Are Required by DAN (Divers Alert Network) Only if the dives are to be exported to Dan Separate Logbook pages for 48 Hours DataSeparate Logbook pages for PostDive DataSeparate Logbook pages for DiveSite Data

Erase all data on this Page. Save ‘Put’ Data Print Option Button for Printing, Printer Setup, and capturing the screen to the clipboard. Clicking the Back button returns the diver to the Main Analyst Window. Retrieve ‘Get’ Data Dive Number Logbook page Click on the Print Button

Print Screen as shown Click left mouse button to proceed. Printer configuration, select multiple copies. Automatically Send this ‘.can’ file to Cochran Send current page as shown to the P.C.’s Clipboard

User Personal Data Sheet completed Click on the User Medical Tab

Logbook data Put to the Selected Dive of the Analyst File. Logbook data Put to the Default Area of the file can be recalled to prefill The Logbook pages for other dives. User data Put to the Apps User folder in the Analyst directory can be recalled to prefill the User Logbook pages for other dives. DiveSite data Put to the Apps Sites folder in the Analyst directory can be recalled to prefill the DiveSite Logbook pages for other dives. User data Put (stored) in the Dive Computer – User Data can be recalled to fill in the User Logbook pages for other dives. Click on Put User Data to File in the Apps User Folder Click on the PUT Button

Next let’s Name this User Mike113 Click on Save

Click on the PUT Button User Data is now stored in the Apps User Folder Next let’s store it to the Dive Computer User Data can not be stored in older Cochran Dive Computers.

Click on Put User Data into the Attached Dive Computer

The progress bar will show that the User Data Is being stored “Put” into the dive computer User Data is now Stored in the dive computer Now for the DiveSite Data Click on the DiveSite Tab

Various Entries have drop down menus Click left mouse button to proceed. Click on the PUT Button With the DiveSite Data Filled in Next let’s store it to the Sites folder

DiveSite data Put to the Apps Sites folder in the Analyst directory can be recalled to prefill the DiveSite Logbook pages for other dives. Click on Put Dive Site Data into the Apps Sites folder

Let’s Name the Dive Site “Lake Someplace” Click on Save

Dive Site Data is now Stored in the Sites folder Click on the PostDive Tab

Various Entries have drop down menus Click left mouse button to proceed. With the Post Dive Data Filled in Now let’s do the 48 Hours Report Click on the 48 Hours Tab

Additional Information will be required If the answer is YES, these will appear automatically Select Were you Exposed The 48 Hour Report Must be Completed 48 Hours After the Last Dive or Flight Without this information the DAN file is useless

Select No

Select Any Unusual symptoms

Select No

Select Were You Treated

Select No

The logbook for this dive is now complete Now see what happens to the 48 Hour Report when exposure to Altitude is answered Yes Click left mouse button to proceed.

Additional Information will be required If the answer is YES, these will appear automatically Select Were you Exposed

The 48 Hour Report, when exposure to Altitude is answered Yes, now has addition Data fields Several fields have drop down menus The rest are free form data entry The Exposure section is now complete. Now see what happens to the 48 Hour Report when Unusual symptoms is answered Yes. Select Any Unusual symptoms

The Unusual symptoms section now has A free form data input field The Unusual Symptoms section is now complete. Now see what happens to the 48 Hour Report when ‘Were you treated is answered Yes. Select Were you treated

The Were you Treated section now contains Several free form data fields The ‘Were you Treated’ section and the 48 Hour Report are now complete. Now this dives log book needs to be stored. Click on the PUT Button

Logbook data Put to the Default Area of the file can be recalled to prefill The Logbook pages for other dives. Select Put Logbook to Selected Dive in File.

The Logbook for this dive is now stored in the Analyst.CAN file of this Dive Computer Now let’s fill in dive # 495 logbook using the data files that we stored Click left mouse button to proceed.

Click on the GET Button

Click left mouse button to proceed. Retrieve Logbook Data for this dive from the file Retrieve Logbook Data from the Default file section Retrieve User Data from the Apps User Folder Retrieve Dive Site Data from the Apps Sites Folder Retrieve User Data from the Dive Computer Retrieve Owner Data from the Dive Computer Retrieve relevant Dive Computer Data from Analyst File Select Get User Data From File in Apps User Folder.

Select Mike113 From the File in Apps User Folder.

User Mike113 has been selected Click OK

User Mike113’s Personal data now is filled in for dive # 495’s logbook Click left mouse button to proceed. User Mike113’s Medical data is now also filled in for dive # 495’s logbook Click left mouse button to proceed. User Mike113’s PreDive data is now also filled in for dive # 495’s logbook Click left mouse button to proceed.

Now to fill in the Dive Site Data Click on the GET Button

Select Get Dive Site Data From File in Apps Sites Folder.

Select LakesomePlace2 From the File in Apps Sites Folder.

Dive Site Someplace Else 2 has been selected Click OK

Dive Site data is now filled in for dive # 495’s logbook Click left mouse button to proceed.

Now to update the dive data for dive 495 Click on the GET Button

Select Get relevant Dive Computer Data From Analyst File.

Dive Site fields are now updated with dive # 495’s dive data Click left mouse button to proceed.

Now that the Logbook Data is completed How do we send the file(s) to DAN Click on the DAN Button

The diver can send the current dive How do we send the file(s) to DAN: The diver can send all dives between two dive numbers The diver can send all dives between two dates The diver can send all dives with the same Family Name The diver can send all dives that have been tagged Lets send this Dive Only to DAN Click on the Sort Button Click left mouse button to proceed. The diver can send all unsent dives

Analyst Sorted the file and Found 1 dive that matched the selected criteria Click OK Click on the Send Button

Permits the diver to mark these dives as being sent to DAN Click left mouse button to proceed. Lets the Diver send the file Directly to DAN Click left mouse button to proceed. The File has been sent to DAN Click left mouse button to proceed. Sort By Unsent Dives, Sort Between Two Dive Number, Sort Between Two Dive Dates, Sort by Divers Family Name Are self explanatory But what are Tagged Dives? Lets Find Out! Click on the Cancel Button

Dive Not Tagged To Go to DAN Click on the Tag Button Tags a Dive To Go to DAN Dives do not have to be in a continuous sequence Lets Tag this Dive Click left mouse button to proceed.

Dive Tagged To Go to DAN Allows the Diver to Manual Erase Tags Click left mouse button to proceed. This Concludes the Analyst Logbook Tutorial Click left mouse button to proceed.

Now for a review of the relationship between User Information, the Logbook and the Analyst.can file The User Information is Put (stored) in the dive computer by the User of the dive computer. This Information can also be Put into the Analyst file and associated with specific dives. This Information can also be Put into the Apps User file and associated with specific dives. Multiple User’s data can be stored in the Apps User Folder. The Logbook Information is Put (stored) in the Analyst.can file And is associated with specific dives by the User of the dive computer. Click left mouse button to proceed.
