VEHICLE IN COLUMBIA RIVER Marine Drive, Portland, OR – Oct. 7, 2014 Unrecoverable amount (est. 1 gal. gas) after car accident; vehicle removed from Columbia River in <2 hours.

GROUNDED 18’ VESSEL Chinook Day Park, WA – Oct. 14, gallons of gas; approx. 2 gallons miscellaneous oils

F/V TITAN Cape Disappointment, WA – Dec. 5, 2014 F/V TITAN ran aground on “A” Jetty on 05DEC15 with 40-50k lbs of crab, 3,500 gal of diesel, 700 gal of hydraulic, and 400 gal of lube oil onboard. All personnel rescued. Global Marine & Salvage hired by RP for salvage and clean-up operations. Inclement weather prevented successful dive operations.

Inclement weather thwarted all dive, salvage, & towing ops. F/V TITAN now rests at a location north and west of its original grounding location and is considered a total loss. F/V TITAN Cape Disappointment, WA – Dec. 5, 2014

F/V CAP’N OSCAR Astoria, OR (Tongue Point) – Feb. 5, 2015 Port of Astoria assumed ownership & had been working salvage plan. Vsl sank at pier on Feb. 5 and IMD assisted port with technical expertise on booming. Vsl removed from Columbia River.

Usually, IMD responders see on average 1-2 mystery drums per month … this period, it was 5 per month.
