Wing Span:. Peregrine falcons are one of the swiftest flyers.. Peregrine falcons have a wingspan of 37 to 40 inches.. A Male’s wingspan is on the smaller end as they are smaller birds than the female.

Altitude: How high can a Peregrine falcon go? A peregrine falcon can go up to 20,000 feet high depending on how far a thermal takes them.

The peregrine usually flies below 500 feet, but during migration they fly higher.

Gliding: How long can a falcon glide without flapping its wings?  For a Peregrine falcon to glide it really depends on the wind.  If a Peregrine falcon puts its wings behind its back the Peregrine can fly several miles without flapping its wings.

Stooping: A Peregrine falcon’s dive (called a stoop) can be as fast as 200 miles an hour! They stoop when they are going after prey.
