Presentation transcript:

The savannahs are located in Africa, Madagascar, Australia, South America, India, and Southeast Asia. A savannah is a rolling grassland scattered with shrubs and some trees. Grass is the base plant of the ecosystem. Savannah are dry with yellow grasses. Africa’s great savannah covers a third of the continent providing food for the hundreds of species Of herbivore that roam across it. There are not many trees on the savannah.

The animals in the savannah are the burrowing owl, the cheetah, and the giraffe. The burrowing owl lives in holes in the ground. The cheetah is the fastest African Animal. The giraffe spends its whole life on its feet. There are even some cacti in The savannah. There are many interactions within the savannah. One interactions Is between animal to animal. The baboons and chimpanzees work together as a Team to survive. They hunt and gather together. They protect each other from Predators such as hyenas and cheetahs

Two interesting facts about the savannah is most of the animals on the savannah have long legs or wings to be able to go on long migrations. The second fact is many animals burrow underground to avoid the heat.
