Certification Exams Hawkeye Community College Information Technology Programs

Where do I take the exam? Two options: Pearson VUE testing center Prometric testing center Hawkeye Community College is a Pearson VUE testing center. The testing center is located in Student Services inside the Hawkeye Center.

The Process (Cisco)  Create a vue.com account  You will use the same vue.com account for all certification testing regardless of vendor (Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)  Make sure you enter your Cisco Academy Connection ID and user name when creating your Cisco testing profile at vue.com.  Obtain a voucher  Cisco  Successfully complete a voucher exam at the conclusion of Cisco 2 or 4.  Take the voucher test.  Pass the voucher test.  Request the voucher via your Cisco Academy account.  Check your or profile on the academy site.  If purchasing a full price voucher, follow CompTIA process on next slide.  Schedule Test  Make sure you have your voucher number. You will need it to schedule.

The Process (CompTIA)  Create a vue.com account (one time)  Obtain a voucher  CompTIA  Request a voucher from one of the IT instructors via  The business office will generate an electronic invoice that will be ed to your student account.  Once received, take a printed copy of the invoice to the Business Office in the Hawkeye Center and pay for your vouchers.  Bring the receipt of payment to one of the IT instructors.  HCC IT Instructors will send you an with your voucher number(s)

Which Test?  Schedule Test  Register for the E2C version of the test. Your voucher is invalid for all others.  Locate the test by the ID numbers listed below.  Make sure you have your voucher number. You will need it to schedule. What tests do I take? Passing the ICND1 earns a CCENT certification Passing both the ICND1 and the ICND2 earns a CCNA certification Passing the CCNA exam earns the CCNA certification

How much do the exams cost? One exam CCNA (Cisco 1-4)$250 Two exams ICND1(Cisco 1-3)$ ICND2 (Cisco 1-4)$125 Cisco Academy Students can earn discounted test vouchers at the conclusion of some Cisco courses. Discounts range from 40-70% off based on the Cisco promotion in effect at the time of testing. HCC has no control or input on the discount levels offered.
