First thing to do in a new place Identify the location of all the exits Ensure the exits are not blocked and are accessible by all especially the handicapped Find the escape plan for the building or the room you are Locate the place you gather outside Follow the escape plan before you have to use it to ensure it is all accessible

Second important thing to know Locate all the fire extinguishers near your area Identify the type of extinguisher a, b, c, abc, halon, etc Identify the charge level of the extinguishers near you

What type of extinguisher do I need

Other types of extinguishers Halon- O2 depriving gas Charge air water- pressurized water extinguisher for exterior fires (grass, wood, etc)
