Sagrada Familia is a very famous cathedral designed by Gaudí. They began to build the church in It is still in construction. There are lots of famous landmarks and monuments in Catalonia Camp nou is the football stadium of F.C.Barcelona. Up to 120,000 people can sit in the stadium. There is also a museum where you can see the trophies and past kits of F.C.B.

Parc Güell was designed by Gaudí. It was built between 1900 and It is a beautiful park with lots of colourful buildings and sculptures.

The Dalí museum is in Figueres, Girona. It is one of the most interesting and popular museums in Northern Spain. It shows the work of Salvador Dalí.

In Catalonia we have lots of traditional foods. We eat Spanish Omlette. It is made with eggs and potatoes and onions.

We also eat «pa amb tomaquet». This is bread with tomato and olive oil. In Catalonia, we normally eat seafood

At Christmas, we eat «turrons», these are traditionally made with almonds, chocolate and dried fruits. A typical Catalan dessert is «crema catalana» It is similar to custard. It is made with milk, sugar, eggs and cinnamon

Castellers – human tower. This is a tower made of people. Sant Jordi is similar to St. Valentine. The girls give a book to the boys and the boys give a rose to the girls.

At Christmas, we celebrate the «caga tiό». It is a tree trunk with a face. On the 24th of December the children hit the trunk with a stick, sing a song and it gives us small presents.

The Sardana is a traditional dance in Catalonia. Boys and girls dance in a circle and they hold hands. The music is played by a small orchestra with wind instruments and drums.

Catalonia is situated in the north east of Spain and in the south of Europe. Catalonia is very near France and Andorra.

In Catalonia there are four regions. They’re called; Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona.

Catalonia is bordered by coastline. The main coastline is the Costa Brava. It has lots of beautiful beaches. In winter the weather is cold, but sunny and in summer it is hot and very sunny.

There are alot of mountains in Catalonia. The most famous are the Pyrenees mountains. The biggest river in Catalonia is called Ebre.
