Improvements in the Harmonized Seismic Hazard Maps for the Western Balkan Countries| SfP Skopje, October 2012 WP 2: STRONG GROUND MOTION DATA BASE AND GROUND MOTION PREDICTION MODELS Leading Countries: Macedonia, Montenegro and Turkey WP Duration: 21 months 1)Compiling the available strong ground motion data recorded by the improved seismic networks during BSHAP or previously occurred earthquakes using the outputs of earlier scientific projects; 2)Building a harmonized acceleometric databank by unifying the formats of the collected strong ground motion data; 3)Improving the databank by adding ground motion recording station information; 4)Investigation of available ground motion prediction models and their applicability to the region, comparison of results from different prediction models; 5)Final decision on the ground motion prediction models and their weights to be used in PSHA.

Improvements in the Harmonized Seismic Hazard Maps for the Western Balkan Countries| SfP Skopje, October 2012 PHASE 1:COMPALING AVAILABLE STRONG GROUND MOTION DATA Oct 2012 – June 2013 PHASE 1B 2 : Compiling the available strong ground motion data recorded by previously occurred earthquakes using the outputs of earlier scientific projects PHASE 1B 1 : Compiling the available strong ground motion data recorded by the improved seismic networks during BSHAP project PHASE 1A: Strong Motion Station Inventory (geographic location, field/building, instrument technical characteristics, soil type) BSHAP project stations & Other Stations
