Discipline (Greek word:paideia) Tutorage, i.e. education or training; by implication, disciplinary correction:--chastening, chastisement, instruction, nurture.

Suffering Due to the Sins of Others Job: Loss of possessions. Death of family Loss of health We will experience them in life.

Through Many Different Kinds Of Trials

Hostility from Sinners 1 Peter 4:16 “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”

Hostility from Sinners It is not a punishment from God. Matt. 10:10-12 An opportunity to learn endurance.

Trials of Life Test our Faith James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Hostility from Sinners When faith is tried & tested & endures. Our Faith is strengthened. God can use such occasions to train us.

Rejoice When Facing Trials Because of the result: Spiritual strength. Reward of Heaven.
