3 Definition Global Startup firms are those that from inception seek to recognise and exploit opportunities by combining resources from and selling outputs in multiple regions around the world.

4 Global Start-ups Vs “classical” start-ups There is empirical evidence showing that some resources and capabilities of Global Start-ups differ from those of classical start-ups

5 Global start-up A Global Start-up is a firm with an early pattern of internationalisation, that is, from its first activities onwards (opportunity recognition), is pursuing international resources (suppliers, R+D co-operation, strategic alliances, financing, etc), and markets (customers, marketing, etc), to attain a competitive edge.

How do they fulfill their needs presently How to provide better support to (potential) global startups: the design, validation and implementation of a scheme for the stimulation and creation of global university start-ups

Q2 and Q3: via case studies – structured interviews in the countries of the participants; presently there are 22 case studies.
