A: IT now uses the same amount of fossil fuel as the airline industry and IT’s power requirement are growing at a compounded rate of 20% per annum Q:How much of your office power requirement is used by IT? A: Estimates vary up to 40% Q:What % of you air conditioning output is cooling your IT? A: Dependant on the size of server farm and number of users approx 25% of air conditioning is cooling your computers Q:What % of your power is used at night, mostly by IT A: 15% of total power usage is consumed when nobody is working!
