Les expressions: To ask what someone likes: Est-ce que tu aimes ____________ ? Do you like? To tell what you like, want or prefer Jaime … I like Jaime bien… I really like Jadore… I love Je veux… I want Je voudrais… I would like Je préfère… I prefer Jaime mieux… I like better

To tell what you do not like or want: Je déteste… I hate Je naime pas I do not like Je ne veux pas I do not want

Exemples: Jaime le français. Je préfère la glace. Je naime pas les escargots.

Connecting Sentences… Use ET to connect similar sentences together… Jaime les frites et les croissants. I like fries and croissants. Use MAIS to connect dissimilar sentences… Jaime les frites, mais je naime pas le jus de pomme. I like fries, but I dont like apple juice.
