“The blind man who could see.”

When did Euler live? Euler lived in the eighteenth century. Euler was born in 1707 and died in Euler lived in Switzerland with his family and friends.

Discoveries in mathematics In algebra several equations bare Euler’s name. Euler also made discoveries related to the theory of numbers. In his popular textbooks he succeeded in clearing, expanding, summing up,and ordering all the work of his predecessors. Euler followed Bernoulli's two sons to Russia where he taught mathematics and physics at the St.Petersburg Academy.

Interesting Facts and Events Leonhard Euler got his masters degree at age sixteen at the University of Basel under the teacher Johann Bernouli. In his life time he wrote eight hundred books and papers about mathematics.

More Interesting Facts After losing his right eye sight at age twenty five Euler became totally blind later in life, but still continued writing, dictating ideas from his remarkable memory.
