State Universities: Research Attributes Collaboration Collaboration Research in the biosciences at Idaho universities is collaborative and complementary (BRIN and INBRE grants). University Research Environment University Research Environment Universities create an optimum research environment: excellence in scholarship is prized by everyone (research culture), fundamental research is encouraged, freedom to choose the most fruitful directions, primary commitment to educating the next generation of scientists and engineers.
