ROI Analysis 4

ROI Analysis 5 Jul – Oct Unit Cost –Cost per Copy: US$ ($ 1,602,164 ÷32,543 Copies) –Cost per Access: US$ ($ 1,602,164 ÷86,325 Copies Download)

Findings 1 Member University libraries play an important role in the DDC. Collection Keep a continuous growth towards the Humanities and Social Science domain.

Findings 2 Download Usage Based on host server’s data, Copies of the Humanities and Social Science are downloaded/used more than the Nature Science and Engineering, but the usage of the Nature Science and Engineering grows gradually. ROI Cost per Access decreases sharp annually, and cheaper than the price of book acquisition. The Cost per Access will be lower (18.56 vs US$) if statistical data of local servers of member libraries are included.

Future System function –Statistics: more ICOLC or COUNTER-compliant and individualization for library collection and budget management. –Integration: with PQDD Collection –Towards to more plan-based (just-in-case) development. –Every dissertation has its reader. (Unused: 12,857)

Annual Price – 2005 Single Price Old Member Libraries 53 US$ x 153 Copies New Member Libraries 53 US$ x 170/180/200 Copies
