Quotes from Mcluchan The underlying concept of McLuhan's view of electronic technology is that it has become an extension of our senses, particularly those of sight and sound. The telephone and the radio become a long distance ear as the television and computer extend the eye by projecting further than our biological range of vision and hearing. Physiologically, man in the normal use of technology (or his variously extended body) is perpetually modified by it and in turn finds ever new ways of modifying his technology. Man becomes, as it were, the sex organs of the machine world, as the bee of the plant world. enabling it to fecundate and to evolve ever new forms. The machine world reciprocates man's love by expediting his wishes and desires namely, in providing him with wealth (46).

WAYS OF HUMAN COMMUINCATION Ways in which we communicate with each other are in a number of ways listed below: Face to face Text messaging Photo messaging Video calling Writing letters Online Communities Phone Calls

Mobile Global Communities As Technology develops so does our potential for global communication. Television has been a major source for information over the last 40 years but television only allows a linear movement of a message. Forms of communication such as the internet and provide almost instant non linear communication. As Pierre Levy (1995) states the computerisation of society has the potential to promote the construction of intelligent communities in which our social and cognitive potential can be mutually developed and enhanced. With the development of technology it is now possible to send and receive messages around the globe even while mobile.

The future of communication The future of mobile technology is endless, mobile phones are now more personal computer than mobile phone with wireless connection to the internet and the ability to Bluetooth information to one another its is fast becoming the number one form of communication.
