M. Thompson Phase One Clinical placements in occupational settings for 4 URI NUR444 undergraduate nursing students. Clinical placements in occupational settings for 7 URI NUR444 undergraduate nursing students.

M. Thompson Phase One + Additional one-day onsite experience performing health screenings for 1,000 employees & their families at a major company event.

M. Thompson Phase Two Coordinate an all-day experience in occupational & environmental health & safety for all URI NUR444 undergraduate nursing students. Coordinate ½-day experience in occupational & environmental health & safety for all undergraduate nursing students enrolled in community health in RI colleges.

M. Thompson Phase Three Update NUR444 curriculum to include elements of occupational & environmental health & safety.

M. Thompson Phase Four Conduct ½ day orientation to occupational & environmental health & safety for 8 URI NUR444 faculty. Conduct all day orientation to occupational & environmental health & safety for 8 URI NUR444 faculty.

M. Thompson Phase Five Provide support to faculty, preceptors & students in their occupational health settings. Conduct program evaluation at end of semester with faculty, preceptors & students. Continue to foster partnerships with OHNs & obtain at least two additional clinical sites for Spring 2009 semester.
