Daughters: Reaffirming Your Baptism “Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.” (BCP 298). Share your testimony of coming to believe in Jesus Christ. Renew Your Baptismal Covenant.

Practices of Spiritual Growth Quiet Time Practicing the Presence Silence and Solitude Meditative & Contemplative Prayer Retreats and Quiet Days Of the spiritual practices listed in this section, which are you using to grow spiritually?

Scripture as a Prayer Tool Lectio Divina Lectio (Reading/Listening) Meditatio (Meditation) Oratio (Prayer) Contemplatio (Contemplation) Practice this method of praying and sharing the Scriptures as an excellent way of developing trust within a group Excellent way of consecrating efforts and hopes to Christ before service projects.

The Community of the Eucharist Serving (Luke 22: 24 – 27): Don’t we all want to be considered as ‘great’ daughters, ‘great’ chapter members, ‘great’ friends, wives, mothers and grandmothers, teachers, singers, students, disciples? We strive to be ‘Great’ at whatever we are and whatever we do, but who is great according to Jesus? Who is Jesus calling you to serve?

Growth Through Service Equipped to Serve Ways to Serve What might you need to do to open yourself up to: A deeper knowledge of God? A deeper appreciation of God’s love? A greater reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit as you live out your life of service to God?

Holy Listening Find a place of peace. Sit comfortably, kneel, or lay prostrate. Optional: Use a candle, a rock, or some other helpful visual and/or tactile focus. Consciously relax from head to toe. Pray for what you need. Then quiet your mind and listen.

Spiritual Mentoring Story of Naomi & Ruth May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me. Ruth is not turning back. She is not questioning her devotion to her mentor, Naomi, or God. They are sisters on the journey. Who are your sisters on the journey?

Passing on the Journey You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8). Identify at least five ways to share your journey as a Christian with your sisters in Christ, your children or grandchildren, or others you come in contact with each day.

Mother Teresa’s Daily Prayer Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with your spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.
