Current state in Germany Based on a contract with the state, the Bologna- compliant curricula have to be introduced by WS 2009/2010 Germany: about 70% of all Informatics curricula are now according to Bologna rather than to old diploma There are frameworks for Informatics curricula in Germany

Goals of bachelor compared with „good old“ German diploma Decrease of the high break-up rates in diploma curriculum (50 % at HU) Ease of students exchange by credit-points and change after bachelor to other universities Bachelor is more profession-oriented rather than theory-based Introduce the fundamentals for the research-oriented master curriculum HU (and Germany …): BA + MA: semesters
