Roby - the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration/Chief Information Officer (ASD NII/DoD CIO) serves DoD Chief Information Officer in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The ASD NII/DoD CIO is responsible for setting policy & providing oversight of information processes, systems, and technologies. As the DoD Chief Information Officer, ASD NII is the executive responsible for ensuring that capabilities are delivered. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a combat support agency and a defense agency, falls under the oversight and supervision of the ASD NII/DoD CIO in both its roles. LTG Carroll F. Pollett, Led by its Director, LTG Carroll F. Pollett, U.S. Army, DISA is responsible for planning, engineering, acquiring, testing, fielding, and supporting global net- centric information and communications solutions to serve the needs of the PresidentVice PresidentSecretary of Defense President, the Vice President, the Secretary of Defense, and the DoD Components, under all conditions of peace and war.
