Making the Most of Web 2.0 TEDUniversity -TED2007 César A. Zevallos Heudebert

Web 2.0 “Web 2.0 is a set of economic, social, and technology trends that collectively form the basis for the next generation of the Internet— a more mature, distinctive medium characterized by user participation, openness, and network effects.” (Tim O'Reilly and Dale Dougherty - Web 2.0 Principles and Best Practices, O’Reilly Radar Fall 2006)

Web 2.0 Is our own human evolution, part of our nature. Is a complete new way of doing things in and with the Internet. Is where “the medium and the message is us” evolving in the way we socially live with and within it, networking, participating and contributing, using and enhancing it every day. It is a step towards the creation of our virtual intelligence.

What is MEME? An Idea that enters into your mind and never leaves.

The story of a Meme

TED and Web 2.0 The meaning of TED Technology Entertainment and Design has a direct relation to the meme Web 2.0: T from the Technology we use from the Web 2.0 tools E from the Entertainment and fun we get by mixing the web 2.0 tools together D from Design which is how "creativity"* helps us "to combine"* this Technology and Entertainment "to create value"*. * Quotes from Sir Ken Robinson "TedTalk TED2006 Monterrey"
