Energy consumption - Gasoline California 2001 consumption = 14,783 gallons (October 2004, US Dept of Energy ) SBC 2003 = 11.4 million gallons gasoline 2004 = 10.5 million gallons gasoline 7.2% decrease

Light-duty Vehicle Fleet (gasoline) California 20,500,000 registered passenger vehicles (2002 estimate, CA DMV) SBC 2003: 11,458 vehicles 2004: 10,043 vehicles 11.01% decrease SBC fleet is 0.06% of 2002 California passenger fleet

Energy Consumption Monitoring Real-time energy consumption monitoring ( Nationwide “Electricity Watch” program to evaluate monthly cost and consumption data and address maintenance needs early Study of energy consumption and weather trends

CONCLUSIONS SBC business practices are actively reducing GHG emissions in California SBC has reduced electricity consumption over 6.5 % SBC has reduced its gasoline consumption over 7 % SBC has reduced its fleet inventory by 11 %
