Rapid Response for Municipal Maintenance Wireless Solution to address Citizen Complaints Challenge Large Metropolitan City developed program to respond rapidly to city maintenance needs and improve citizen quality of life. Focus was to repair broken streets & sidewalks and eliminate garbage with citizen engagement to report locations in need of repair. Municipality needed a method to enable the city workforce to respond quickly and document actions. Benefits Improved efficiency, capability and speed of reporting, tracking and repair completion. Increased accountability for city agencies, improved coordination of repair and maintenance activities, better quality of life for residents Enabled Solution City established website with interactive maps. Deployed AT&T smart phones to city inspectors to report findings at the scene, report real time data and document for agency accountability. Smart Phones equipped with TeleNav Track™ mobile workforce management software, bringing together GPS, mobile and Web technologies, integrating the city’s back-office applications to help enhance the inspectors’ productivity. 5 All other trademarks are the property of their owners

Code Enforcement and Building Inspection Efficiently Dispatch, Route and Communicate with Field Service Challenge Large Gulf Coast city charged with inspecting structural damage after every tropical storm or hurricane. Building inspectors workload is increased, overtime wages increase and there are delays filing extensive paperwork in back office systems. The department needed to streamline work processes, increase efficiency, reduce redundancy and enable the city to meet residents’ needs by posting inspection results quickly Benefits Increased inspectors accountability, safety and reporting efficiency directly into city databases. Reduced paperwork and errors. Increased time in the field to perform inspections. Increased inspection fees and revenues for the city. Reduced fuel and overtime costs and vehicle wear and tear. Enabled Solution Building inspectors issued Smartphones with GPS and wireless laptops equipped with data cards. 6

Regional Social Service Agency Update Case Files In Real Time In The Field To Help Social Workers Protect Children Challenge State mandate that social workers must see each foster child at least once every 30 days. Needed a solution to document case workers’ visits while reducing paperwork. Vital to facilitate communication with the doctors, courts and other service providers involved in the child’s care. Customer Benefit Mobile solution that goes into the home, takes a picture of the child which is GPS- stamped, date-stamped and time-stamped to validate the visit. Home visits have increased by 30 percent since the solution was deployed. Down time waiting in doctor’s offices, school or courtroom is now productive time with access to data and systems. Enabled Solution Mobility Application using Agency’s OK Connect solution over AT&T’s 3G Network. AT&T Smart phone devices with tethering for Internet, GPS and cameras 7

One of their biggest challenges was the functionality of a device they could use to look at criminal history records, case reports, et al. Deputies had to leave the building or the premises to go to the communications center to retrieve records and do their case reports. Customer Benefit Wireless networking gives Deputies & law enforcement officials throughout the state rapid access to vital information. The solution enables Deputies to submit queries to multiple databases simultaneously, such as the state CJIS switch and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Better collaboration among law enforcement agencies that can help increase protection for officers and citizens. In the case of a lost device, the department can easily wipe the devices remotely. Enabled Solution AT&T Wireless networking with BlackBerry® smartphones equipped with the InterActPocketCop™ application from InterAct Public Safety Systems™.
