Polycom VSX 7000 User Guide Module 1: Planning the Conference

Prior to the Conference Plan ahead Notify participants of time, date and locations Distribute agenda and other items Learn about the type of equipment you will be using Have a backup plan in case of technical problems

Power Point Presentations Use 24 Point or higher 7 words and 7 lines per page No red, yellow or orange text Use light letters on a dark background Limit to 3 different font styles Limit to 4 colours No italics, fine lines or borders

On the day of the conference Arrive early Begin your meeting on time Introduce yourself and proceed with a roll call of other sites Be mindful of the time allotted Establish ground rules

Etiquette Allow on-screen site to finish first Mute microphones when not speaking Make sure that the camera can see you Know the equipment Avoid excessive movement Keep lesson with timeframe

Ending the Conference Allow time for review and final questions End on time
