Agenda Introduction to Web Accessibility It’s the LAW! –Section 504 & Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 –Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Using Screen Reader (Individual Activity) –CSU Mandate –CSULA Web Policy Tools and Resources

Individual Activity 1.Turn off the monitor and put on the headphone. 2.Press [Ctrl] + [Esc] to access the Start menu list. 3.Use the and arrows to browse the menu. 4.Once hearing Internet Explorer, press [Enter] to launch IE. 5.Press [Alt] + [D] to jump to IE’s Address Bar. 6.Type in IE’s Address Bar: 7.Type in Google’s Search field: cal state la 8.Press [Enter]. 9.Press [Tab] until the link in Step 10 has been reached. 10.Press [Enter] when hearing the California State University, Los Angeles link. 11.Turn on the monitor to verify and raise your hand.
