WASTE MATERIALS AND THE ENVIRONMENT WHY IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SEPARATE HOUSEHOLD WASTE.

WE MUST REMEMBER THAT everything we do affects the environment; we are wasting resources that took millions of years to create and won’t last forever, such as natural gas, oil, minerals even the carbon dioxide we breathe contributes to the greenhouse effect.

RULES TO USE THE RUBBISH CONTAINER CORRECTLY:  Close dustbin liners properly;  Don’t leave rubbish in the street if the container is full;  Don’t put big things (like pieces of furniture..) or dangerous products in the containers.  There are rules that are written on the containers: READ THEM! on the containers: READ THEM!

- “DOOR TO DOOR” PROJECT: - house to house separate collections of waste materials.At the moment this project is only active during the summer and only in part of the town. If it were carried out the whole year and everywhere, the separate collection would cover 80% of the rubbish we produce.
