Le groupe des francophones Heirs of P. Bonche, H Flocard, D Vautherin, … with still two ancestors: P-H Heenen and J. Meyer and many young people: M Bender and T Duguet K Bennaceur, D Lacroix, T Lesinski, M. Martini and V Hellemans J. Sadoudi and B. Gebremariam

Energy density functional and divergences or steps M. Bender, T. Duguet and D. Lacroix -removal of spurious contributions for non diagonal energy kernels -construction of a “safe” functional and the way to use it Work in progress, close to be included in a limited manner in all codes Energy density functional from fundamental interactions T. Duguet, K. Bennaceur, B. Gebremariam, T. Lesinski -significant breakthrough for pairing -in progress for the mean-field part of the interaction -extension and applications of the density matrix expansion

Fit of an EDF All the group: -Tensor terms: included in spherical, ev8, ev4 and the cranking code (cr8) and in several beyond mean-field codes -Consequences of the tensor terms on different nuclear properties (rotational bands of well deformed nuclei) - Properties of the terms related to densities which are non zero only when time reversal invariance is broken (Landau parameters cooking…) Point of methodology: only use of interactions which are fully refitted in the SLy spirit! -Still to be done: a functional depending on integer powers of the density, without pathologies (or which can be cured…)

Beyond mean-field methods M. Bender and P.-H. Heenen -Triaxiality and breaking of time-reversal invariance are included in a new code -First application for triaxiality to 24 Mg completed, another one to 32 Mg underway -Exploratory applications for cranking states indicate that the gain is in the right direction -More extensive applications are waiting progresses in the construction of functionals (qp excitations!)

Others M. Bender, P-H Heenen, R Janssens in particular Systematic studies of different approximations of odd nuclei in the transactinide region. Motivations: - pedagogy - what is the simplest way to use this kind of experimental information to constrain interactions. All the group: -dynamical treatment of pairing (pairing vibrations): codes are (nearly) available, waiting a safe interaction. TRI applications for axial states have a success (around Pb) with experimentalists which induces many applications
